It secures to the bed frame with a safety strap and works with traditional beds — box spring, platform, or slats — that have an 8–16 in (20–41 cm) thick mattress. The steel rail supports up to 300 lbs (136 kg) as a transfer handle.
The rail extends in length toward the foot of the bed for added fall protection, and pivots down 180° to lower it out of the way for getting into or out of bed. It installs on either side of the bed between the mattress and box spring, and includes a two-pocket organizer pouch for bedside essentials. It is intended for adult use only and is not compatible with adjustable beds or extra-soft mattresses.
